When There Is Hate and Violence: LOVE ONE ANOTHER

Because white supremacists and neo-Nazis feel emboldened to march in the streets of our country…

Because President Trump is threatening to shut down Congress if they fail to approve a budget that will fund the construction of a wall between neighbors…

Because transgender people and their allies still need to fight for basic human rights…

Because young men of color are disproportionately incarcerated…

Because there is still a travel ban in place that prevents Muslim people from seven different countries from entering the United States…

Because Myanmar’s government is violently discriminating against its minority Muslim population, and a clash this weekend left nearly 100 people dead…

Because a famine of historic proportions is stalking South Sudan and neighboring countries…

Because of all this and more, we took a section of Jesus’ farewell discourse in John and created a firecracker of a short film to proclaim this good news: “Love one another.  Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.  By this everyone will know that you are my disciples.” + John 13:34-35

Because God is love, because we’re all made in God’s image, and because love heals, love wins, and love conquers all!
