a little sermon

Dear God,  

Thank you for the beautiful eggs we got at the farmer’s market this weekend.  Each one is a little sermon, round and speckled, saying a dozen times over, “Earth is crammed with heaven, and every common bush afire with God; but only he who sees, takes off his shoes."  + Elizabeth Barrett Browning
