a prayer card for japan

We're still praying for Japan - and we know you are too.  The response to "bright sadness" has been nothing short of remarkable, and so our crackerjack design team has put together a downloadable postcard/prayercard, a beautiful combination of Hokusai's woodcut The Great Wave and Psalm 46.

Here's how we're using it:

 + One of us has already put it up on the bathroom mirror, lest we forget in the busy-ness of life what really matters...

+ One of us has already mailed it to friends and family in Asia, as well as closer to home, who are affected by the crisis...

+ One of us is printing up a stack of copies this weekend for distribution at church, so other folks can use the cards to do the two ideas above.  And the larger idea is to reach out and eventually establish a sister-to-sister relationship with a Japanese religious community...

+++++

The seed of this idea came from a comment on "bright sadness" - thank you, Robyn, for the inspiration!  Tell us, SALT community, what other ideas do you have?  We're wanting to do everything and anything in our power to help, and we know you are too.
