God made me before anything else:  Sophia, Holy Wisdom.  I was brought into being a long time ago, well before Earth got its start.  I arrived before Ocean rolled and roared; before Mountain was sculpted; long before God set Sky firmly in place.

Day after day, I was there with my joyful applause, always enjoying God’s company, delighting in the world of creatures, cheering for the whole human family. 

So, my dear friends, listen carefully.  I have only this to say:  don't squander your precious life.  Stay awake.  Be ready to meet me every morning as I start my day's work.  + Proverbs 8
